IMTS 2026 is on at McCormick Place Monday, September 14, 2026 through Saturday, September 19, 2026. Exhibit halls dump thousands of people onto the same curb at the same minute. That is the taxi line. A quoted car is waiting at the door you actually use.

The date
IMTS 2026 · McCormick Place · Monday, September 14, 2026 – Saturday, September 19, 2026
This is a field note for people who already have tickets, a booth, or a hotel block — not a recap of the event. The job is the curb.
How the curb actually works
McCormick and the big Loop halls run on hall-door timing, not hotel clocks. Share the hall number and the hotel with dispatch the night before. Morning inbound should leave a real buffer for I-55 / Lake Shore, not the map's off-peak guess. End of day, pick a street that is not the main taxi queue — 31st and the west docks beat standing in the Grand Concourse crush.
Exhibitor move-in days are a different animal from public days. Freight, union rules, and dock appointments eat the curb. If you are flying in that morning, say so — we track the flight and hold at the terminal instead of circling Cermak. Downtown hotels (Loop, South Loop, Printers Row) are a short hop; Rosemont and the NW suburbs need the Kennedy buffer.
If the plan changes, text the chauffeur. Dispatch already has the trip. Do not start a new rideshare and leave the car hanging.
What to book
Solo or a pair: sedan or SUV, bags in the back, same chauffeur both ways. A booth team of 6–12 wants a Sprinter so crates and roll-aboards stay together. Do not split the group across two rideshares and hope they regroup at the hotel. Multi-day shows: book the same chauffeur each morning. They already know the dock.
Quoted fare before you pay. Gratuity and tolls sit in the total. Flight tracking applies when the trip is an airport run on the same day.

FAQ
When should we book?
If the event is inside two weeks, book now. Vehicles for Soldier Field, McCormick, and NYE go first.
Can the chauffeur wait?
Yes, on hourly. Point-to-point is a drop and a later pickup. Say which one you want on the quote.
What if the show runs late?
Text. The chauffeur already has the pin. We do not add a surprise surge.
