Vintage vs Modern Rolls-Royce Wedding Car Chicago

Looking for a vintage Rolls-Royce in Chicago?

Couples searching for a vintage Rolls-Royce usually want one specific thing: a wedding photo that looks like it was taken in 1962. That is a good instinct, and it is worth knowing what you are actually choosing between before you book one.

Meridian Fleet runs the modern Rolls-Royce Phantom. We do not operate a vintage car and we do not broker one, because a 60-year-old car on a wedding timeline is a risk we are not willing to hand a couple on the one day it cannot be rescheduled.

What you give up, and what you get

A vintage car buys you one thing: the period silhouette. What it costs you is everything a wedding day depends on.

Vintage cars are weather-dependent. Most will not run in heavy rain or snow, which in Chicago rules out a meaningful share of the calendar. They are booked through a third-party operator, so the dispatch contact on your wedding morning is not the company you signed with. And they break down at a rate modern cars do not, on a day with no second attempt.

The Phantom gives you the coach doors, the hand-stitched leather, and the Starlight Headliner overhead. A constellation your photographer can shoot with the partition raised. It runs in February. It is dispatched by us directly. And the umbrella tucked into each rear door means a rainy ceremony exit still produces the photo you wanted.

If a period car is genuinely non-negotiable for your day, book a specialist vintage operator directly. You will get better service from someone whose whole business is that one car than from anyone brokering it as a side line.
