What Each Occasion Needs from a Limo Rental

A wedding rental and a bachelorette rental are not the same booking. For weddings, couples usually want a stretch limo or an SUV for the ceremony-to-reception transfer plus a longer block to cover the getaway at the end of the night, and they care about the look of the vehicle in photos. Prom and homecoming rentals are about getting a group of friends there and back safely on a set timeline, with photo stops built in. A night out or a bar crawl is a flexible hourly block where the route changes as the evening does. A brewery or wine tour is a longer daytime rental where the vehicle becomes the home base between stops. Tell us the occasion and we size the vehicle and the hours to it instead of selling you a generic block.

When to Book — Chicago's Rental Calendar

Demand in Chicago is seasonal, and the limos book up fastest during the same weeks every year. Prom season runs April through early June and Saturday nights sell out first — reserve four to six weeks out. Wedding season peaks May through October, and popular dates should be locked in well in advance. For a weekday corporate event or a quiet weeknight out, 48 hours of notice is usually enough. Holidays like New Year's Eve are the single busiest night of the year and should be booked as early as you can. A weekday rental will almost always cost less than the same vehicle on a Friday or Saturday night.

What Is Included — and What Is Not

Your rate includes the vehicle, a licensed and insured chauffeur, and the amenities that come with the car — sound system, climate control, and bottled water. Stretch limos and party buses include the lighting and bar setup; you are welcome to bring your own beverages where age-appropriate and legal. No gratuity is added. What is separate is any time you run past your booked block, billed at the hourly rate. Mon–Thu: save 10% automatically. Rates before fuel, admin & card fees. Gratuity optional, never added automatically.

Chauffeurs and Safety

Every rental comes with a professional chauffeur who is licensed, background-checked, and knows Chicago's streets and the suburbs. For prom and teen events, parents can confirm the itinerary and the chauffeur keeps the group on the agreed route — the appeal of a rental is that nobody is driving home after a celebration. Meridian Fleet is ICC-licensed and carries $1.5M in commercial auto liability, and rental customers get the same vetted drivers as our corporate and airport clients.
